General information:
The laboratories purpose of establishment is to work with industrial robotic arms and mobile robots parallel to today’s robotic technology to make research projects in industrial and academic area. The research projects are supported by TUBITAK for developing new technologies.
Laboratory facilities:
The robots available in laboratory could be categorized as industrial robot arms and mobile robots. Industrial robot arms main base is motionless; however, in mobile robots motion is available.
3 industrial robot arms available in robotic laboratory. These industrial robot arms are:
- Control Techniques 3 degree of freedom robot simulator
- Mitsubishi PA-10, 7 degree of freedom industrial robot arm
- ROB3i, 5 degree of freedom industrial robot arm
7 mobile robots are available in robotic laboratory. These mobile robots are:
- 2 ITU-AGV. This unmanned ground vehicle was designed and manufactured by robotic laboratory.
- Parrot AR Drone 2.0 Quadrotor
- Parrot Beebop Drone Quadrotor
- Parrot Jumping Sumo unmanned ground vehicle
- Nomad 200 mobile robot platform
- Clearpath Husky A-200 unmanned ground vehicle
